How to Fix a Flat Tire on the All-New Toyota Tundra

1. First, find a safe place to park. Always change your tire on level ground away from traffic and turn on your flashers when roadside. Always call 911 or roadside assistance before changing a tire on unleveled ground or a shoulder with limited space.
2. After you’re safely parked, you will need to find the jack and tool bag. They are located on the backseat, passenger side. 
3. You will then need to assemble the jack handle extension. Insert the extension into the lowering screw right above the license plate. Once you feel tension, then take your lug wrench and attach it into the jack. Now we are ready to lower the spare by turning the lug wrench clockwise. 
4. After the spare tire is lowered to the ground completely, remove the bracket. Now go over to the flat tire and break the tension with the lug nuts without removing them completely. 
5. Position the jack in the designated locations underneath the Tundra as shown in your owner’s manual. Then, turn clockwise to raise the jack and your vehicle. Remove all the lug nuts and the flat tire. 
6. Install the spare tire and tighten each spare nut by hand. Tighten the nuts until the tapered portion comes into loose contact with the disc wheel. Lower the vehicle and then firmly tighten each nut two or three times. 
7. Check the spare’s tire pressure and make sure it’s ready to drive on.
